In 1928 local leaders of Fort Wayne who shared an interest in magic put their heads together to start I.B.M. Fred Hurd Ring #32 with the purpose of bringing the young organization’s convention to Fort Wayne. They were successful, and in 1930 the fifth I.B.M. Convention was held in our city.
